Nice.. I think thats one of the best features... media server client... Cant beat scrolling through all your movies, music and tv shows...

Yeah, it makes watching all the torrents I download alot easier.

I need to upgrade my HDD I've only got about 10 gig free. lol

Seriously though, when's the last time you've played on the PSN? It's improved alot since I got my PS3 a little over a year ago.

Why not run your external hdd through it or set up the wireless network?

Last time I played on it was about a year ago on COD4. It kept having to search and search for matches. Have they gotten dedicated servers yet?

Because I don't have a external HDD albeit I could use one.

The only time it searches and searches is when I have internet issues otherwise it usually finds one pretty quick and no there's no dedicated servers but the 360 doesn't have them for COD4 either.

Uhm.... An external NAS? it has to serve out UPnP or DLNA.... only software on a computer can do that, or you can build a media server... You cant just browse to a network folder on the PS3

No but can't you just create folders that the PS3 will recognize like you do with a flash drive ?

Not if its on the a network because theres no way to browse to it... If you put in a USB flas drive that works because its reading from it locally. Anything on the network needs to be streamed DLNA style

Yeah, I would just hook it up to it locally via a USB port. But I'll probably just end up getting a internal.
